Choosing between an Oregon coast honeymoon or staying in luxury Portland hotels is a challenging choice, so let’s compare the options. The first thing to consider is the time of year for your honeymoon and how far in advance you’ll be making your reservations. The Oregon coast has wonderfully romantic aspects almost any time of the year, with a few warnings. The winter is great when the weather is clear, but most of the winter brings rain and storms. Storm watching can be incredibly romantic for a honeymoon, but depending on your location, power outages could dampen your spirits. Spring can be wonderful on the coast, but in some weird season years, Spring can be mostly rain for weeks at a time – rain is fine, but if you need sunny days on the coast, consider a different time of year, or shift your attention to Portland, where much of the romantic appeal is indoors. Summer and most of the Fall are fantastic on the Oregon coast with no worries about problem weather Read the rest of this entry…

Feeling tight around your chest muscles? Are you finding yourself getting more neck and shoulder cramps? If this sounds like you then you need some help. And the help comes in the form of a foam roller. And you thought I was about to tell you about a magic pill, right? No there are no magic pills, but a foam roller can and will release muscle tension built up in those places I mentioned above. One of the best exercises I do when I find myself tight from a day sitting at the computer, yeah, I know I’m as guilty as the next person for sitting poorly at my desk, is stretching. Posture has never been a priority and so the end results are a stiff body. Thankfully I have discovered the foam roller. Read the rest of this entry…

Determining internet service providers by zip code is now easier than ever if you have the right resource available to you. There is a website that delivers what it promises — helping you select the right internet service provider for you. One of the crucial elements in this process is identifying the correct speed to fit your needs and lifestyle. If you don’t have the right speed, you will either pay for too much speed, or you will be frustrated because you have too little speed. The next step is identifying the top ISPs in the country and finding out which of them has network infrastructure to your location. Finally, compare them side by side to see who has the best offer for you. Read the rest of this entry…

Very often I’m struck by how some dog clothes look very much like horse blankets. Particularly when they’re displayed hanging from what looks like a clothes line. Well, please take a close look at this fabulously designed halter-cut dog dress in red/red. It’s called the Candy Cane Formal Dog Dress and features a satin bow with rhinestone buckle. It’s made of organza with underlay in tulle. And bodice fully lined in satin. If this is not upmarket dog fashion, I don’t know what is. Read the rest of this entry…

Now, I like popular brands, and I like inexpensive brands, but if I can find the latest brands at discount, I don’t hold back. Sometimes it’s worth the wait, in order to find the best deals on discounted sun glasses. I check out sites specifically wholesale ones I find online. Whether its Nike or Dragon I know I can pick out a good deal. Think of these when you need a gift idea for a friend at the last minute, when you need a day bar run, or want to look stylish for the girls abound. Read the rest of this entry…

A ladybug necklace; there is nothing quite like it. I collect a lot of silver jewelry, but once in a while I like to have something whimsical and fun. And what can be more whimsical than ladybug jewelry in enamel? I love the one I found at this website. There is something so unique about a hand painted necklace in red and black. Some people may think that’s a little childlike, but I think there is nothing better than retaining one’s sense of fun and adventure after passing the age of thirty. Bug jewelry is not for little girls anymore! And if you can find a pair of ladybug earrings or a brooch in a precious metal like gold, all the better. I own one spectacular lady bug pin made with diamonds and gold. Of course, I do find myself wearing the enamel necklace a little more frequently! Read the rest of this entry…

The Italian Cypress (cupressus sempervirens), or Mediterranean Cypress, is a great outdoor bonsai tree to grow in groups. Originally found in the eastern Mediterranean area, this bonsai is susceptible to the cold. This means you’re going to either have to bring it in during the winter or grow it in a fairly warm climate. However, it’s certainly worth the trouble. These bonsai look amazing when grown in small groves. They feature very fine green/gray leaves that actually grow in flattened sprays. They also grow tiny elongated brown cones during the year, something that is somewhat rare in bonsai. Read the rest of this entry…

A lot of people are tightening up their spending habits these days. Even though the news on the economy seems to be getting a little brighter here and there, many of us are still keeping a closer eye on where the money goes and where we can cut corners. Of course, one of the easiest ways to save money on a regular basis is to bring your own lunch to work or school. Eating out can really put a dent in your wallet and bring food from home can make a big difference in your weekly spending and probably your eating habits as well. When I first came across these cool magnetic name badges, I could hardly believe my eyes! I’d never seen anything quite so artistic, amusing and interesting, all at the same time. Name tags and name badges are worn by so many employees these days that it’s hard to imagine anything out there that would really stand out. But for something that a medical professional could wear as an identification tag to lighten up the atmosphere in the clinic, this one can’t be beat. Read the rest of this entry…

My young daughter needed to find an environmental project for fifth grade class and her suggestion was to stop using bottled water. Unfortunately, we live in a community where the water tastes bad, so I told her that wasn’t an option. However, my precocious child had already done her homework, and suggested that we could buy a affordable countertop water filter to make the tap water easier to drink. In fact, she had been saving money from her allowance, and offered to pay for it as part of her project. How could I say no? It was a good cause and something she really believed in. If you have a small dog, and they stay indoors with you then they most likely want to get on the furniture with you. While this is not a problem if you don’t mind that sort of thing, it could wind up costing you your dogs joint health in the long run. It comes with a standard beige shearling cover and the other 4 are for personal taste and to have a backup cover in case the beige cover gets damaged. The 4 step is made for smaller dogs. Creamy, rich chocolate and nice, strong coffee just naturally go together. I suppose you could just have a little piece of chocolate with your cup of coffee, but why not combine them! This Swiss Mocha Coffee Mix is incredibly satisfying and delicious. I buy the best instant coffee I can find so the flavor stands up and asserts itself against the cocoa. If you like your cocoa very sweet, you can adjust the sugar you use, but I like to have a little bite to my mocha-coffee combination. You can substitute decaffeinated coffee if you need to, but just be sure to use a very rich coffee. This coffee will spoil you for plain old cream and sugar. It will spoil you for plain hot cocoa, too! Read the rest of this entry…
