Creamy, rich chocolate and nice, strong coffee just naturally go together. I suppose you could just have a little piece of chocolate with your cup of coffee, but why not combine them! This Swiss Mocha Coffee Mix is incredibly satisfying and delicious. I buy the best instant coffee I can find so the flavor stands up and asserts itself against the cocoa. If you like your cocoa very sweet, you can adjust the sugar you use, but I like to have a little bite to my mocha-coffee combination. You can substitute decaffeinated coffee if you need to, but just be sure to use a very rich coffee. This coffee will spoil you for plain old cream and sugar. It will spoil you for plain hot cocoa, too!

If I’m going to indulge in a rich, chocolaty drink, I’m going to do it right! Even though I’m using one of my budget drink recipes, it doesn’t taste like I skimped. That’s because, by comparison, the pre-packaged mixes taste watered down. Homemade mixes give you great rich flavor at a fraction of the cost. Now that’s indulgence that my wallet and I can live with!
